The
Bayonne Bay district will consist of housing and two
community parks and will have views of the golf course
to the south and Verrazano Narrows Bridge to the east.
In 2007, the first real estate transfer
ever at The Peninsula at Bayonne
Harbor occurred when the BLRA transferred deed for 7.42 acres to Bayonne
Residential Limited Partnership, also know as Trammell
Crow Residential. Trammell Crow is constructing
approximately 540 rental units on blocks B-3 and B-9
within the Bayonne Bay Redevelopment District. The B-3
and B-9 Blocks are the westernmost blocks in
Bayonne
Bay
and sit adjacent to Harbor Station South.
The balance of the Bayonne
Bay district is designated
to Bayonne Bay Developers, also known as Atlantic
Realty. The agreement with Atlantic will govern five phases of development covering 11
blocks for the right to build approximately 1369 units
of housing.
